About the Book

Margaret Mann, age 95, has lived in three different retirement communities, and has been a reporter for, and contributor to, their different newsletters for over twenty years. She has had many opportunities to discover the kinds of jokes, insights, and observations that her fellow Seniors most relish; and in Grandma Mann’s Miscellany she has distilled a collection of humorous pieces sure to delight anyone who remains young at heart.

About the Author

Margaret Mann grew up on a farm in Will County, Illinois, and spent most of her life in and around Chicago; she now lives in Brandon, Florida. Her interest in writing began at age 13, with her authorship of short stories for her teachers and classmates. Her varied talents include writing plays (two of which were produced onstage), children’s stories, and compilations. She believes humor should “consumed daily” and, being a writer at heart, hopes that the present volume will help spread the good cheer that has always characterized her own outlook.
