About the Book
“In my darkest moments of despair, I would wonder if the Lord’s face was actually there. I really didn’t know God, but my grandmother did. I would sometimes say, ‘Do you see me, God? I don’t see you, but do you see me? Can you help me?’ I never heard His response.” Nike Aremu has been writing and publishing articles and short stories for over 2 decades. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literary Studies and a Certificate in Technical Writing. Nike started her career by working as an English High School teacher and later moved into the corporate world of software development as a Technical Writer and a Business Analyst. It was during this time Nike answered a call placed on her heart to start a writing ministry with a specific target of issues dealt with by women. This led to the creation of her first book; Don’t Waste your Pain which is published by Xlibris. In Don’t Waste your Pain, Nike narrates painful episodes in her life with unflinching candor and in a way that everyone can relate to. The reader is taken on the journey with her as she goes through pain, anguish, sometimes laughter and celebrates her freedom at the end. She is humbled that God is allowing her to share her in this manner and strives to be real and relevant. Her next project, scheduled to be published next year, will focus on identifying key issues that most women struggle with. It will metaphorically pinpoint ways in which women cover up these issues in their lives and provide a biblical approach to handling this.
