About the Book

Understanding the Christian walk is a book of encouragement. It explains some of the main reasons why Christians struggle with their faith and fail to standout in our society as the “light” God has called us to be. It provides a clear explanation of Christianity and its importance as well as gives a unique and accurate biblical interpretation of the faith. The book encourages believers as well as non-believers to seek God and provides a full proof way of successfully living the true Christian life. The book encourages all to take a moment to look over their life, their beliefs and their current purpose for existing then test Christianity. Not by listening to others interpretation but reading and getting a clear understanding of God’s Word on your own. Many Christians live a life that does not represent the faith. This often times discourage would be believers. However, this book brings to light many of the obstacles that prevent righteous living and provides solutions to overcoming those obstacles. Using scripture, readers will discover that God still loves them and wants a relationship with them. He is willing to forgive and direct all who seek Him, back on the “straight and narrow path”. Understanding the Christian Walk reminds those who have lost their way that it is not too late to return. The Author shares personal struggles with her own Christian walk and without judging, describes behaviors that are not consistent with the Word of God and provides scripture to back it up. The book shows how we get caught up in situations that lead us away from the teachings of God. Understanding the Christian Walk, takes the reader on an interesting biblical journey in order to motivate the reader to take the time to meet the One that is the only friend you will ever need and is the only One with the key to true love and happiness. It answers some of those who, what when, where, why and how questions, that makes Christianity a mystery.

About the Author

Caffie Wilson Ruiz grew up in rural South Carolina and moved to New York City immediately after graduation from South Carolina State University. She spent the first twelve years of her career working with children in different capacities of child welfare. She left the social service field after a domestic violence situation in her life and went into the transportation field as a bus operator for New York City Transit Authority. She found that others were still drawn to her and constantly sort her out to discuss the circumstances of their lives. She decided to go back to school because she wanted to make sure when she spoke with people that she was giving them sound biblical insight. She attended and graduated from Liberty University Theological Seminary, where she obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Counseling.
