Shirley Lucile McIntosh was born in Raeford, North Carolina. At the age of five her mom moved to Long Branch, New Jersey. She lived there until her mother died of cancer in 1971. Shirley has two children (Danielle and Brandon) and one grandson (Cameron). She enjoys long walks on the beach, gardening, reading and long talks with her grandson.
