About the Book

This is my second attempt to go solo. It is a continuation of a series I like to refer to as "My walks with God". In the first book, "My Walk through life as God orders my steps", I simply let the spirit pick the poems I put in the book and I am basically doing the same with book number two, "Continuing My Walk as ordered by God". I hope you will find something inside these pages that will bring comfort, understanding or the answer to a troubling problem. May the Lord bless you all!

About the Author

I am a graduate of "East Livingston High school", "Southeastern Louisiana University" and an online university. I spend much of my time in Louisiana because that's where my heart is. My home church is "Bethelem Baptist Church", pastored by Minister Robert Smith, I am close to "Galilee Baptist Church", pastored by minister Warren Richard, and "Harvest World Outreach", pastored by minister Bray Sibley all located in Louisiana. When in Maryland I attend "The Church on the Rock", pastored by Pastor John Krach. Maryland is where my husband, Jerry Douglas, Sr., my youngest child, Omar Ashton and step-son, Jerry Douglas, Jr. all resides. When I'm in Maryland, I miss my home, Southeast Louisiana and all the wonderful people there. I have three children, Arthur D. Ashton, Cleopha Ashton-Rollins of Louisiana and Omar J. Ashton of Maryland. I, also, have four step children, Jerry Douglas, Jr., of Maryland, Eula Y. Douglas, Michael Douglas both of Louisiana and Terrell Carter of Texas. Although, I'm disabled, I still enjoy outings with my children and grand children. I write mostly spiritual poetry because these are words I somehow see in my mind. I like to think they are messages from God and my ministry is to delivery these words for Him. I give all praises to God for His many blessings.
