About the Author

I was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised in Philadelphia, PA. by my mother Mary Moore. I'm the proud mother of three children: LaTonya, Richard, Nicole and three grandchildren . I give God all the glory for my grandparents, Joseph and Ellena Davis who were a blessing to my mother in raising me and my sisters and brothers. Both my grandparents along with one sister and one brother, have gone home to be with the Lord, which devastated my life. But God, who is full of grace and mercy, supplies all of my needs and gives me comfort in knowing I will see them again and that also inspires the gift of poetry in me. I'm a born again Christian, and my goal is to reach as many souls as I can for Christ. In the year of 2000 I had the privilege to get to know and appreciate a beautiful young woman of God. The experience changed my life forever. Because of a recurring illness she went home to be with the Lord in 2001. Because of that experience I was inspired to write a poem about her, and God has elevated the gift and I have been writing every since then. God has blessed me to encourage people through inspirational poetry and I thank Him with my whole heart, because I get blessed as people are being blessed through the gift.
