About the Author
I was born in Memphis, Tennessee. I grew up around the blues and in church. My father’s side of the family was Baptist and my mother’s side of the family was Pentecostal. I grew up singing in church, singing in small town talent contest and writing. I used to write short stories to my class and read them in front of the whole class and make them laugh. When I was in middle school my principal and administrator sent me to the University of Illinois because I was a lot smarter than my classmates. Later I moved to Seattle where I used to sing in school and I finished my classes before everyone else. I got a scholarship and was offered to go to summer camp for a movie with others. I was so smart that I stayed with one of my teachers during my pregnancy with the twins while I later left and married a soldier. I became a teacher at a Christian based curriculum pace teaching private school in Tacoma, WA for prophet Roy l Barsh, which gave those who couldn’t afford private school a chance to make a difference, get a better education, even if they didn’t have funding. Many of those children went to college, all of them graduated. I struggled with a son who had cancer, so I had to give up a lot. So I continued my education online. The roads life had to take me down, I learned not to judge people. Judge them by their character thus you find what’s really in their heart. —Yunish Luscious Nephatallie
