About the Book

This memoir traces the life of Lorraine Tully Elliott from her birth in 1935 to the present. It is a personal narrative that includes anecdotes about her childhood, work in public schools, family life, and life as daughter of an army officer and the wife of a college professor. The book gives a portrait of a typical American family in the last half of the 20th century.

About the Author

Lorraine Tully Elliott lives in New Braunfels, Texas. She is a retired elementary school librarian and the author of several curriculum guides for elementary teachers. Her education includes a B.A. from Texas Western College in El Paso, Texas and a M.Ed. from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She is married with three adult children and six grandchildren.
