Introducción

Cuando recién escuche hablar de Ana, necesitaba saber, por qué muchos hablaban de ella. ¿Por qué tantos, hacían mucho por querer conocer a una mujer? Con el tiempo, me lo propuse y encontré la manera de conocerla. Hay un viejo dicho, “la curiosidad mató al gato,” Sin embargo, En este caso; yo no tenía manera de saber hasta qué punto la curiosidad mejoraría el corazón. Ella era sin duda como la habían descrito muchos, una mujer muy hermosa. Pero fue su manera de comportarse que capturó mi interés. Trataba a todos a su alrededor por igual. A su ver nadie estaba por encima de otra persona. Sus ojos lo decían todo y su sonrisa ocultaba un pasado cual nunca soñé descubrir.

Extrañamente, fui capaz de ver más en ella de lo que otros no podían o querían ver. Cada vez que ella sonreía, contaba una historia, pequeñas historias de su vida que captaron mi interés. Pequeñas historias que acepté y valoré con cada respiración que había en mí. Ella a sido y es una mujer extraordinaria. Debido a ella, he aprendido sobre el amor y risas, así como de dificultades y dolor. En cuanto más ella me permitía observar su vida, más quería saber. Me presté y la escuché hablar de todo lo ocurrido hasta el presente de nuestra amistad.

About the Author

Born and raised in the small town of Premont Texas. I am the fourteenth of fifteen children. We may not have had what other families did, but the love of a strong mother and father more than made up for material possessions. My father was a strong man until health and age took it's toll. When his health began to fail, my mother knew that even more would be asked of her in guiding and protecting her family. Working into her late sixties she rose above and beyond what any child could ask for. So much of my mother I see in Ana. Which inspired me to write this poetic biography, giving you a short but passionate look into her struggles, her triumphs, and the life she gives her family on an endless basis. I hope you're able to read and gain understanding of what a woman and mother will do to protect the survival of her loved ones. With out them, many if not all of us would not be here today.
