About the Author

Alex J. Goldman was ordained at the Hebrew Theological College of Chicago and received his J.D. degree from De Paul University College of Law. He served as Hillel Director at the Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee, Florida and Temple University in Philadelphia. He received his Marriage Counseling Certificate from Marriage Council of Philadelphia, was the first Jewish Chaplain for Gamblers Anonymous and dedicated the Jewish Altar of the famed Chapel of Four Chaplains in Philadelphia. Author of twenty books, he has been rabbi at Temple Beth El in Stamford, CT, since 1966, currently holding the title Rabbi Emeritus. He lives in Stamford with his wife, Edith, a noted artist.
