About the Book

Birthology was written by an experienced labor and delivery nurse to provide a better patient understanding of hospital deliveries. Having been a labor and delivery nurse for most of her twenty-year career, Doreen M. Campbell, RNC, IBCLC, created a childbirth education program that is both innovative and progressive. Being on the front lines in the delivery room for so many years, she knows what information will be beneficial in preparing couples for their childbirth experience. Birthology offers practical and realistic information that can be brought to the hospital on your delivery day to help you make informed decisions regarding the birth of your baby.

About the Author

After working as a labor and delivery nurse for many years, Doreen M. Campbell, RNC, IBCLC, created an innovative childbirth education curriculum that helps expectant couples reduce their anxiety by providing a better understanding of their hospital delivery. Doreen has 20 years of nursing experiencing, the majority being in labor and delivery. She has held a national certification in Inpatient Obstetrics since 1993, and has been internationally certified in Lactation Consulting since 1995. Having delivered four children herself and realizing the magic of childbirth, she encourages expectant couples to journal their way through Birthology so that they never forget their labor and delivery experience.
