Exodus 1:19 Nickcole and LaTrice are the founders of Hebrew Women Ministries, a spiritually inspired quest to reach those who have been abused and are desperately seeking a way back through holy biblical teachings and continued growth in faith. Many women have been hurt and devastated by those who are closest to them. The vision of this literature piece is to help women find divine peace through knowing God our Lord and Savior. The first step in renewing your mind and receiving a change heart is to forgive not only others but yourself. Written by black women who have overcome their private “hoods,” this book captures life experiences and encourages women of color spiritually through poetry with gospel themes.

About the Author

LaTrice Martin Gospel Poet LaTrice Martin’s childhood became troubled after witnessing the murder of close friends and surviving in an environment where young girls had children at very young ages. Struggling through a dysfunctional family life where parents abused drugs, she adopted a very negative view of the future and ended up in a problematic marriage. But God showed up through His divine will and through her faith LaTrice has transformed. She now has a Godly daughter, Kaylin, and her mother has conquered a 14-year drug addiction. “God erased my background and gave me a foreground. Daily I am moving forward. It is so awesome how he shows up, as only he can. I am a witness, he makes a way out of no way” proclaims LaTrice. LaTrice is now the President and Founder of Mortgage Territory, Incorporated located in the Houston Heights area where she has allowed God to utilize her daily by assisting and educating people through there home buying process. “I have seen people laugh and I have seen people cry, I am so glad to be apart of seeing people be blessed.” A native Houstonian, LaTrice grew up in the Third Ward Area. A Christian from birth, LaTrice rededicated her life to Christ in 1998 at New Faith Baptist Church under the leadership of Senior Pastor T.R. Williams and Young Adult Pastor Terrance H. Johnson. She is currently a member of the Higher Dimension Church under the leadership of Pastor/Founder Terrence Johnson. Nickcole Byrd “ I believe that God has allowed me to beat the odds of depression and suicide through his promising word.” Dreams seemed impossible where Nickcole grew up in Galveston, Texas. During her childhood and teenage years, she struggled with the painful effects of sexual abuse by a family acquaintance. Nevertheless, God stepped in as she gave her life to Christ at the age of 11. Early on, she sought the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a means of holding on and staying strong. A friend with “mountain sized” faith encouraged Nickcole to speak at a loved one’s funeral service. After sharing her testimony, she felt the Spirit was leading her to share the word of God through motivational speaking. On September 7, 2002, Nickcole renewed her faith. Throughout this journey, God has matured her spiritually in with numerous tough tests and trials. Today she has been blessed with a story that ministers to those who have traveled the same path of abuse and abandonment. . Nickcole is married and has three children. She celebrates a life that is rededicated to Christ and is a member of the Higher Dimension Church in Houston, Texas.
