About the Book
In 1970, the Yukon Presbytery appointed the Rev. Ralph H. Weeks Arctic Parish Director. While serving villages in the Arctic Ralph wrote many long letters to his wife Louise who continued living in Anchorage, Alaska. In his first letter he asked her to “keep the letters so we can refile or rewrite for an accurate account.” Louise and Henrietta Van Maanen have edited these letters that were saved for thirty-four years. These letters are meant to be enjoyed by Ralph’s family, friends, and others interested in a pastor’s life in Arctic Alaska and for the honor and glory of God.
