About the Book
The greatest artist, in my opinion, is the master mind behind the cover of Walk Wit Me...Lyrically. Giving light to my vision and justifying my thoughts, he created something different and extraordinary. Everything within the book from the title, to the cover, to the interior, to the actual poetic content has a significant meaning. The cover may be considered unintentional, but it unquestionably fits and gives a more reflective meaning. On the cover there is a naked woman walking up to the microphone, which epitomizes to the world that I am now naked lyrically not literally. Once you put everything out there, there is no more holding back, I can no longer retract my words, I can only explain myself, which only makes me more exposed, more naked. You are getting over six years worth of material, in which I’m putting everything on the line, things that I have been feeling, thinking or going through for the past couple of years and this is how the title Walk Wit Me…Lyrically was born. After you read and reread every single page you’ll probably end up speaking like me. You‘ll feel like you’ve known me, and you’ll start walking in my shoes so to speak. The picture of the profile portrays the one-sidedness of this storyline. The audience is well, you. This book is a roadmap of my expressions, which primarily came about as mere journal entries. Most of my poetry is about love that has gone bad, things that happen in everyday life that some may relate to; at least that is what I’m told. It is full of passion and love for the art of poetry. Walk Wit Me…Lyrically is broken up into twelve diverse sections such as Poetically Speaking, OOOOHHH… Lover’s Only, Same Plan…Different Man, and Define Me. These poems had to be separated because they have a contradictory resonance. Some of them are continuations to another or a few poems, such as Long Hangover is to Tables Turn, which then goes into Same Plan…Different Man. This can be considered as different chapters in my life. I didn’t want to put all the poems together because they all mean something different to me and hopefully now to those you pick up this work. All the poems are assorted intentionally because I wouldn’t want people to just read Lover’s Only and never get to Define Me. I trust that if you love one section you’ll enjoy the whole book.
About the Author
Cathleen was born February 15, 1981 in a small town in Upstate New York to Marie Carmel and Joseph N. St.Victor. Watching her mother, she fell in love with fashion at an early age, which is her first love. With limitless talents, she has been working on writing a few short stories and song lyrics. Poetry began as an outlet, almost therapeutic, beginning as a journal. If you had asked me if I would ever consider writing a book, my answer would have been no. When Cathleen is not writing, she is taking care of her brand new baby girl.
