About the Book
June Lumsden began visiting the USA in 2001 and was very disappointed when she found nothing in the bookstores about the Hérault, a department in the region of Languedoc in the south of France. There was practically nothing on-line either.
Encouraged by her partner, Sheila, she decided to publish a book of photographs of the places in the department that she has always loved to visit.
A teacher of English and a bookseller in the city of Nîmes since 1978, June retired to Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers and busied herself with her grape vines, fruit trees, goats and dogs. June has traveled throughout the Hérault over the years.
