About the Book
TALES OF THE CITY tells two stories of young New Yorkers living in downtown Manhattan where, as actors, teachers, writers, painters, or salesmen, each is pursuing his or her long held ambitions. But unexpected violence inserts itself into their peaceful lives and demands that they respond. How each character does, what each chooses to confront, or not confront, the degree of responsibility each embraces or rejects becomes the thread that joins or separates their lives and the theme that binds these tales.
