About the Book

The poetry written by Jose Acosta varies from romance, patriotism, to dark poetry. Each vividly written, each reflecting a time or event in his life. The strength of his words come from the honesty and ability to recall a moment in life as if it was yesterday. This his second book; is an accumulation of poems and writings reflecting the triumph of life after his first book of his childhood. Still living life with a passion for each day in every aspect, Jose Acosta finds inspiration in life itself. Sometimes dark, sometimes light, but always written from his heart.

About the Author

Jose Acosta is a native of Las Cruces, New Mexico, born January 26, 1959. He graduated from Mayfield High School in 1978 and attended New Mexico State University pursuing an engineering career. After a year in college he decided to accelerate his career by joining the United States Navy. He was medically retired at 19 and half years. He is currently very involved with the Armed Forces working as a military training consultant for the Navy. Writing has become a second career with this his second book.
