About the Author

Lola Cooper grew up in Brooklyn, New York, with her grandmother, stepmother, and finally, her mother. This unusual upbringing gives Ms. Cooper a broad approach to the word “mother.” Ms. Cooper currently lives and writes in Brooklyn, New York.
