About the Author

My name is Henry L. Stampley, and I am 55 years old. I was born in Vallejo, California and now reside in Memphis, TN with my beautiful wife, Gwendolyn Stampley to whom I have been married for 19 years. I am a husband, father, grandfather and foster father. My parents are deceased and I have one brother and five sisters. Together, my wife and I have five children; three sons (one of whom is deceased) and three daughters. We also have nine grandchildren. We have been foster parents for 10 years. One of the greatest joys from the experience has been the adoption of our son. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. My son inspired me to write this book. I am hoping that this book will be an inspiration to all who read it. Through this book I am hoping that people who wish to become foster parents will do it; and that those who already are, will speak out and do all they can to help the children who have become a part of the system.
