About the Book

Living Through the Pain is a book of poetry and short stories addressing the physical and emotional pain associated with domestic violence. Domestic violence takes a toll on everyone involved, especially the children. Substance abuse takes a tremendous effect on family members, most of the time it places them under financial and emotional stresses they are not prepared to handle but have no choice in an effort to keep their family together. The difficulties some people feel when they have to measure up to society as being the perfect spouse. This book also contains some inspirational poems. The reading material is mostly based on real life situations and the difficulties people are faced with during and afterwards. I really appreciate your interest and hope you gain some insight and possibly begin the healing process from my stories. My main objective is getting this material out to help others in a similiar situation. I am married, live in Lancaster, Texas, mother of four, before writing poetry I was a small business owner, when I am not writing I enjoy sending time with my family, family is very important to me.
