About the Book

The book is a collection of poems that were written about many personal, intimate and moving situations encountered by a single person living in a big east coast city. The poems were written at a tumultuous point in the life of this individual. There were many broken relationships, financial hardships, struggles with children and self worth. There are nine sections to the work which encompasses candid feelings about friendship, fantasy, seduction, love, reality, redemption, healing, celebration,and reflections. This selection of poetry is a literary virtual reality excursion into places and situations that could only be encountered in the thoughts and dreams of a person living life in the big city. This is the only literary work done by the author.


About the Author

G. R. Ellis has created this selection of poems especially for those who truly believe in the power of love and friendship. He is publishing his works for the first time so that others who are experiencing periods of loneliness and depression due to the loss of a lover, friend, or spouse can take solace in the fact that they are not alone and that as one door closes another somewhere is opening. G. R. created these works to sustain the inner being that was reaching out trying to find someone special. Although he has never shared theses poems with anyone, he feels it’s time to let the world in on his abilities. He work delves deep into the psyche of passion, lust and heart felt admiration of the many lives that intertwined with his over a period of four years in the early 90’s. The author has no literary background. He and is an engineer and native New Yorker. He now lives with his wife of 10 years in Northern Virginia. He has two sons who live in the Atlanta region.
