About the Author

M. K. Heffner grew up along the banks of the Susquehanna River in Central Pennsylvania. The youngest of six children, she always had a knack for transforming the chatter of her family’s memories into imaginative tales. Now, with three children of her own, her fictional characters pick up where her memories left off, overlying family dramas with local color and history. She continues to live in her native Sunbury while at work on her next novel of the Bakers and the McNiers.
