About the Book

At an unspecified time in the future the human dream of making contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life comes true. They are not large eyed, green skinned aliens bent on destroying earth. These are Vardorians; a tall, highly trained race of chrome eyed, platinum haired, telepathic people. A High Council of three powerful individuals leads the Vardorians; intelligent and perceptive ANFELD, brooding and commanding CREYVILN and, the reticent and sometimes frightening Time Keeper called DREVNORE. Time Keeper Drevnore convinces the leaders of the United Earth Government to send two of their men as ambassadors to her ship. Dr. QUIPP and AGENT IAN McCAIN soon find themselves enmeshed in a game of secrets and intrigue that was set in motion hundreds of years before they were born. In an attempt to destroy the Time Keeper and all she has labored to preserve, a young Vardorian defector named TREAVIEL puts his own nefarious plan into action. Using his native mental abilities he deftly turns the tables on his people and attacks with all the force he can muster. In a desperate attempt to end the coming war before it has a chance to fully begin; Quipp and McCain join the traitorous Time Keeper in penetrating the hiding place of the defector and his followers in the Antarctic. D’nore and the two men are inadvertently captured and imprisoned. Thanks to the Time Keepers superior psychological arts and hidden abilities they manage a daring escape that is not everything it appears to be. The ensuing show down between two of the most powerful minds in the universe is hurriedly contained by the untimely arrival of a Vardorian infiltration team who arrest both the Time Keeper and the defector. What looks like a hopeless situation in which to continue negotiations between the UEG and the homeless Vardorians is made smoother with the formation of a military tribunal, by the Vardorian High Council, to try the recreant Time Keeper as well as the defector Treaviel. The chaotic affairs between the UEG and the Vardorians settle for the time being and the disgraced Time Keeper fades into obscurity patiently awaiting a better time to reassert her unquestionable power over the fragile Vardorians.
