About the Author
My name is BEVERLY SMITH and I am a Christian, a registered nurse, and a lawyer. I live in San Antonio, Texas and I really enjoy my work as a child protective service attorney ad litem. I wrote this children’s book to promote the basic need for love, acceptance, and a place within the self that is comforting. Often times this place is nonexistent for many of my child-clients who are without biological fathers present in their young lives. Throughout my career I have come across a number of people suffering from what I call “the empty hole syndrome.” It is often displayed by low self esteem, drug and alcohol use, poor parenting, depression, and ultimately self-destructive behavior. This syndrome is prevalent in many of my child-clients and I wanted to do something about it. The goal of this book is to cultivate relationships based on love, hope, and goodness . The purpose of this book is simply to plant a good seed in every child in the whole wide world. My hope is that every man, woman, and child knows that a spiritual father is available to them. A perfect father for those lacking a loving biological father figure. Whether you can see, hear, touch, smell, or feel this entity … it is there for all of us anytime and anyplace, regardless of class, race, or religion. This book is the best seed I can pass on to the children of the world, for we are all God’s children as far as I am concerned. Passing on the idea that a Father in heaven loves you and He is there for me unconditionally - is definitely the best gift my parents ever gave me! I strive to share this gift!
