About the Book
Don Kachmor's "Aminals and Artvarx" inhabit the pages of "From Outta Nowhere," introducing us to their world of "Living and Being in Peaceful Coexistence," while striving to stir the imagination of young readers and inspire their creativity. Superheroes and villains combine human torsos with animal heads and appendages, adding blotted images, accidental ink spills and collage techniques, to give birth to Mr. Kachmor's most unusual creatures of fantasy.
About the Author
Don Kachmor lives with his wife and family in Scenic New Paltz, New York, in the shadows of the rugged Shawangunk Mountains. Although a painter of wildlife, landscape, and native America by preference – several of his wildlife portraits are in the collections of some of our western national parks. Mr. Kachmor occasionally enjoys experimenting with fantasy art and creatures of the imagination. His “RIIB D-MEN” emerged from the suggestion of his own children, that he create a series of superheroes and villains combining human torsos with animal heads and appendages. More recently, accidental ink spills and blotted images, combined with collage technique, gave birth to his most unusual creatures of fantasy. Don Kachmor’s “Animal and Artvarx” inhabit the pages of “From Outta Nowhere,” introducing us to their world of “Living and Being in Peaceful Coexistence,” while striving to stir the imagination of young readers and inspire their creativity.
