About the Author

Biography I was born in the Island of Jamaica, West Indies. My parents were Elementary school principals. I developed a love for English literature and the written words at an early age. I migrated to the Usa in the early 60’s which I consider one of the most important periods in the history of these United States. I’m widowed and the mother of two grown children, Clarke and Karen, and I’m also the grandmother of five children. I’ve written poetry on and off sandwiched between jobs as an Executive for a telecommunication corporation which lasted twenty years, and later I was affiliated with the NY public school as a teacher per diem. I’m now retired and enjoying the luxury of leisure time to garden, read and write. GLORIA MASON
