About the Book

The last thing a group of teenagers should be worrying about is protecting a magical realm filled with all sorts of odd magical creatures. But that is exactly what Emma, Stace, Daniel, and Jack have to do. They have just found out that they are going to become the Guardians of Encara protecting it with extraordinary temporary powers. But there are bumps along the road and everything is not what it seems. Emma’s new friend, a cute red-headed wizard, is part of a dangerous plot to bring down Encara and the human world which means taking down her and the other Guardians to be. Will he make the right decision and defy his father by helping her? Can she save him and save Encara at the same time? Or will one be the cost of the other?

About the Author

My name is Erika Jade Guillory and I am sixteen years old. I live in Iowa, Louisiana with my mom, dad, sister, and four brothers and I am about to be a junior at Iowa High School. I am currently on the Iowa track team and I am a long distance runner. Ever since I was about seven years old I loved to read. I wrote Keepers of the Keys in eighth grade when I was thirteen and it took me a while to publish it but during that time I was able to complete the second book in The Guardians of Encara trilogy and I am now working on the third. I am proud to say that I accomplished my life’s dream by publishing this book. I’d like to mention that the character Emma Glory in the book was based off of me and the character Stace Fleur in the book was based off my best friend, Anastasia Mestyer, Stasi for short. Without her encouragement and the encouragement of my other good friends and family I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish my dream!
