About the Author

I am Marisa Sagarese. I live in Punta Gorda Florida. I was born and raised in Marlboro, NY, a small town in Upstate NY. I have a love for children and animals. This book has been inspired by both my family, and our pet rooster, “Doodle”. I struggled as a student due to being diagnosed with dyslexia. I have conquered my learning disabilities and now share that fight with my students at the Charlotte County Public Schools in Florida. I am an ESE Paraprofessional with K-5 students who have the same needs I had as a learning disabled student. I love being with my family most, and the time we spend on our family ranch in Punta Gorda is priceless. All of our farm animals have names and all will soon star in their own children’s book as well. I have been blessed with two beautiful children, Ella, 10, and Eddie III, 5. My husband, Ed, and I are both in the education field, and we both agree that farm living is the life for us!
