About the Book

Myer Seidman was born in Montreal, Canada. He grew up in a third story walk-up home among 2 parents, 4 siblings and a grandmother with one bathroom between the 8 of them. Myer left high school at the age of 15. At 17 he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where he served for 2 ½ years during the Second World War. He married his Brooklyn-born wife Ray in 1948. They have 3 grown children and 10 grandchildren in addition to 2 great grandchildren. In educating his way through life’s experiences, he’s learned the importance of enjoying each day and doing the things he never dreamt of doing. I retired to a condo in South Florida thinking of sun, sand and ocean breezes. What I got was lawsuits, hurricanes and an odd assortment of neighbors. There’s something about cramming too many people under one roof that drives even the sane ones crazy. That didn’t stop me from becoming their president. In my 4-year career at the head of our board of directors, I handled everything from sex offenders to imaginary dogs. I also learned a thing or two about human nature as if I were an anthropologist sent to study a small and rather primitive civilization of humans residing in sunny Florida.
