About the Book

Hughie, Bow and Ruefus is the second in a series of three books written by Boniface Idziak, a prospector in northern Ontario. Boniface is able to weave a love of nature and natural settings into this delightful book, suitable for all ages. In this continuing story, Hughie and Bow awake from their long winter hibernation and soon find a friend in Ruefus, a ‘bush-wise’ bear that was orphaned as a young cub. The three bears spend the summer together getting into many funny and entertaining situations. When Ruefus suddenly disappears, Hughie and Bow are called upon to help find him.
