This book is a sequel to “The Last Revolutionary” and continues the story of the Shaw family of revolutionary times into the U.S. Civil War. K. Henry Shaw from Richmond decides he will join the Union Army because of his values. He meets Abel Adams, a former Texas Ranger and a follower of Sam Houston. They both serve throughout the war in Virginia, California, New Mexico, D.C., and Georgia. This book is suitable for both adults and teenagers. Real, but little known events and facts about the war are covered and have been checked. Both men and women portrayed in this book are strong, as well as amusing at times.
About the Author
Henry Shaw and Abel Adams lived a long and productive life. Abel had more adventures has head of security for Wells Fargo, and Henry got his wish to travel. Luckily, Melinda was hit by only a few waves when she was at the beach. Sarah tutored many young women in San Francisco and passed on to them her sprit and kindness. Both families increased in size and took their place as Californians.
