Gab's Send-Off For Grandpa

About the Book

Two –year-old Gab is at the airport with his family to send-off his Grandpa back to his work in South America after six weeks of spending happy time together. For the past three days, he has been clinging tightly to Grandpa and that upsets everybody, especially Grandma. How would little Gab react when Grandpa leaves? The thought of it already hurts. This is a story of how a very young child has taught us a big lesson about letting go.

About the Author

Connie Herbilla is a public school teacher in Compton, California since 1987. She finished her Education degree at Central Philippine University and her MA in English and American Literature at Silliman University in the Philippines. She went to the University of Arizona for her post graduate studies. Prior to her coming to the US, she taught for 13 years at Central Mindanao University in southern Philippines where the illustrator of this book was one of her students. Vercilus Mila is employed as a Forester and GIS Technician at Barama Co. in Guyana. In his work, he usually does geo-referenced computer-aided mapping and 3D architectural designing. An art enthusiast, his interests vary from woodcarving to brush painting and pencil sketching.
