About the Book
Amy Ward was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 16, and by age 24 had undergone 4 brain surgeries in an attempt to correct and essentially eliminate her seizures. Throughout this time period she was able to graduate from Michigan State University with her bachelor‛s degree in social science where she realized that her true calling was social work. Immediately following graduation from MSU, she went on to receive her masters in social work from Grand Valley State University and graduated just 3 months after her 4th surgery. Amy‛s story is one of hope, triumph, courage, and most of all optimism as she faces adversity and laughs in its face. Her positive attitude has gotten her through major life changing events and through this book she hopes to inspire others to be positive as well.
