About the Author

Arlene quickly embraced her grandson's request for a children's book and got busy writing. "Isaiah’s Special Day" is a loving grandmother's inspiration. For Arlene, nothing is too much for her grandchildren!. She is a native El Pasoan who has traveled significantly, but never moved away from her roots. With 35 years of marriage to Richard and having raised Erika and Rick, her new primary focus extends to not only pleasing her husband and lovely children, but their spouses and grandchildren as well. Additionally, Arlene is a successful entrepreneur and Hispanic business leader. She earned her dual Master of Arts degree from Webster University and is currently a part-time instructor for the El Paso Community College. Aside from helping with their family business on weekends and evenings, Arlene serves as Vice President of Human Resources with Goodwill Industries of El Paso.
