About the Book

The author’s course of business and personal travel has taken him to seven continents and well over a hundred countries in over fifty years, and to some venues many dozens of times. His love of geography and wildlife has led him to explore the Polar Regions, the African savanna, and the Amazon rain forest. His diverse interests in history, archaeology, technology, and the environment have given him an integrated perspective on the nature of our planet and how our present situation came to be. In this volume, he shares his adventures, experiences, and reflections for future generations of travelers.

About the Author

F. Peter Boer has written six books, is an authority on R&D finance, and the author of nearly one hundred articles in the scientific and business literatures. His work has been translated into five foreign languages. He holds a PhD. from Harvard University, is a former professor at Yale University, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering. Through board directorships he remains an active leader in global business. Ellen Boer is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and an attorney specializing in educational law. She is a Top Contributor to TripAdvisor with a broad following of serious travelers.
