Harold B. Olin, Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, is a professional architect and author of several books on architecture and construction. A highly regarded textbook and reference source titled Olin’s Construction has been in continuous publication under several titles since 1964. Harold studied with internationally acclaimed architect Mies Van de Rohe at the Illinois Institute of Technology and served as Chicago’s Deputy Building Commissioner, in charge of building code revisions.
