About the Book
"In Loss and Remembrance, Ruminations on the Speed of Life, Stan Dean has selected poems written over the past five years to capture those moments, both significant and seemingly insignificant, which have lingered in his memory since childhood. Sometimes tender or sentimental, sometimes harsh or brooding, his works reflect the unfolding inevitability of disappointment and death, the beauty and cruelty of nature and the quest to find hope and meaning in the cyclorama that is life. His words sing with profound simplicity of life’s wondrous, if often ephemeral, journey."
