About the Book
Harold is a young boy who loves going to school. He couldn’t even wait for the weekends to be over—until he meets Walter Lee, the bully. One day, Ms. Smith, the principal, introduces the Bully-Free School sign—making sure all students are aware that bullying or name-calling will not be tolerated in their school. About the Author
Miriam Robin Smith Daniels grew up in Newark, New Jersey, and is the seventh child in her family, with ten siblings. She graduated from Central High School in Newark, New Jersey, in 1971 and continued her education at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey, where she graduated with an associate of science degree in criminal justice. The following year she enrolled in Kean University in Union, New Jersey, where she graduated in 1991 with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education and social studies. In 1991, her family moved to Pawleys Island, South Carolina. While teaching in Georgetown, South Carolina, she attended the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, where she graduated in 1997 with a reading certification and a master’s degree in supervision and administration. She is married to Walter H. Daniels who is also an educator and has four children, Darice, Dara, Darcy, and Damon, and three grandchildren, Cyanna, Kyrah, and Brady. Miriam is currently an elementary school principal in Georgetown, South Carolina, and has taught children’s literature and other educational courses at Coastal Carolina University.
