About the Author
Julie Cheek Vestal was born in August of 1960 in Avon, IL. She was raised outside of the small Midwestern town of Bushnell, IL. Being the very youngest of three siblings, she was basically an only child. For entertainment, she was left to her imagination and that of her inspirational mother. Growing up in the country she loved spending her summers exploring outdoors, wandering about on foot or bicycle. She could often be found under a shade tree with her nose in a book. She favored the great novelists and poets of past and present. She began her creative writing at an early age, composing scenarios in her mind. Her thoughts were filled with stories, poems and rhyming words. Her writings include poetry, personal prose, stories for children, creative short stories and brief devotions. She takes pleasure in writing and sharing her works.
