About the Book
Rhymes of the Times is a collection of memories from my childhood: Life before electricity and running water was a standard in every home. Daddy was a farmer and Mama was always there, baking, sewing, raising chickens and nine kids. We all worked in the fields and reaped the harvest. From the lines of Life on the Farm and Cottonfields, The Outhouse and Mama's Lye Soap to Living Color I hope you'll find memories of your own to bring a smile to your lips or a tear to your eye.
