About the Book
Mulot’s artistic decisions are a result of the artistic, political, and social concerns of his time. This book is a thorough compilation of Mulot’s most significant work during the 1960’s and 70’s. His work holds both historical significance and remains pertinent as it addresses many of the concerns still popular in today’s society. Jon karr Sundog Ltd Interviews Express Media Corp.
About the Author
Jean-Pierre Mulot left France in the mid- 1960’s and became immersed in the creative revolution in the New York art scene at that time. He worked with audio electronics to support himself while painting, drawing and writing poetry. His poetic work, “Les Reliques d’un Désabusé,” which includes the line drawings reissued in his new book, was widely published in 1976. Both generally French and particularly American, Mulot’s work brings the excitement and agony of French existentialism to the heightened sensibilities of the visual arts in America.
