Shards of Life

About the Book

With the moral corruption found in today’s society betrayal, deceit, heartache and loss are very common issues; especially for those who possess within their hearts, an overabundance of kindness and compassion. As the years come and go so too does love for some; and as the pieces of broken hearts begin to mend, a few of these pieces are unable to break through the scars and bandages so they never have the chance to heal. Abandoned, they quietly sit there, out of sight but still within range to be heard when they whisper a reminder of the pain they bear for their former host. Shards of Life is a small collection of these fragments that never fully healed from my own heart. Rather than letting them sit in the back of my mind, where they can torment me at every opportune moment, I’ve taken them and placed them in the light where I’ll never let them truly fade from memory. Their stories can never haunt my dreams because I’ve embraced the pain in their words and let it serve as inspiration. Reading the stories that they told me will bring you to glimpse at the way the world looks through my eyes.
