My Only Heroes

About the Book

A non-fiction story about a husband and wife (my parents) who were married for forty-one years. They both enjoyed life and their families. And their love for each other only grew stronger as they were both diagnosed with the same terminal illness within a year apart. Together their love and laughter brightened the lives of many. And in this story I share with you some of their life experiences through their long hard battle in hopes that we together will find a cure so that no one will ever have to suffer again..

About the Author

Erica Lynn Felix was born July 21st 1975 in Allentown Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of three children. Erica had attended Catholic school up until the third grade and then entered into public school. Surrounded by many family and friends growing up she enjoyed many different activities. At the age of seventeen she dropped out of high school and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. But soon after she became very homesick and returned home. Going back to school she earned her diploma and decided on a career in nursing. Today she spends her time brightening the lives of many. And has written The Words She Thought She Would Never Hear, Brother and Sisterly Love, and My Only Heroes. She is currently working on a few more.
