About the Author
Barbara Fine lives and practices psychotherapy in Manhattan Beach, California. She received an M.A. Marriage and Family Therapy, from Philips Graduate Institute; a Ph.D., Child Development and Psychotherapy with children from The Graduate Center for Child Development and Psychotherapy, A Program of the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center in Los Angeles, California. She is also the faculty of that program. She was the co-founder/ director of the Friends of the Family, also in Manhattan Beach, providing internship and training opportunities or pre-licensed therapists in pursuit of California Marriage and Family Therapy licensure. The program offers counseling services to the South Bay Community of Los Angeles, California. The workbook and audio CD, just being with mindful breath, evolved from her practice and study and the mindfulness classes she teaches.
