About the Book
The book is beautifully presented with an island theme, as the story comes alive on the island of Galapagos. The reader is lead through flowering words and rhyming verses through beautiful island scenery, sensations, and sounds that could only be found in such an island paradise. The main character, Jodi, is a child of about 12 years of age and is spiritually gifted by God to “bring love to his island home”. His best friends are two beautifully white sea lions, born at the same time that Jodi was born. Although, Jodi loves them both the same, one sea lion is obedient, honest, courageous, and trustworthy. While the other sea lion is completely the opposite. It becomes Jodi’s goal to transform the sea lion who has “gone astray”. The book is full of lessons on virtues and on the spiritual food that Christians have come to know as the Bread of Life. For it is Jesus Christ who nourishes the souls of men and is known as the spiritual food that keeps the soul alive.
