Scampi and Friends

About the Book

This book is about a puppy named Scampi who can’t find his family after a tornado destroys their home leaving him lost and alone. In his travels, he meets up with some circus animals that are also displaced. They become unlikely friends and join together to save another dog that was lost. The story deals with topics such as making good decisions, working together in spite of major differences, helping others, and the importance of friendship, family and home.

About the Author

Writing has always been part of Joan Monahan’s life. Whether working on her High School newspaper, compiling and producing all of the written materials for her church, writing inspirational poetry, or playing Scrabble, she has always enjoyed working and playing with words. She also enjoys reading, crocheting, and gardening and has a deep love and respect for animals of all kinds. Joan is retired and lives in Middlefield, CT with her husband and their big, brave German shepherd, who in the picture is trembling in her lap during a thunderstorm. :}
