About the Book

In his third book of poetry, Vijay presents a collection of poems that draw on his childhood and life experiences. Vijay’s writings often focus on finding and meditating on beauty in the present moments, while simultaneously taking comfort in the eternity of being. Although his poems cover the deeper topics of life, death, love, and human existence, you will fi nd them to be uplifting and idealistic, with meaningful spiritual undertones. His writings are profoundly influenced by his strong connections to family, friends, nature, and God.

About the Author

Vijay Singh is dreamer-poet by inclination and research scientist by professional training. All his degrees are in Electrical Engineering; Ph.D. and M.S. from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T), Delhi, India. He has made pioneering research contributions in solar cell devices, nanotechnology, electronic displays and sensors. This work is published in more than 100 articles in scientific journals and patents. At present, he is Robinson Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the Director of the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering, at the University of Kentucky, Lexington. Vijay met his wife, Carolyn Diana Schmitz Singh at University of Minnesota (UM) when they were both students there. They have two sons, Ajay and Ranjeet. Carolyn is a professional artist with a B.F.A. degree from UM ; front cover art for this book as well as the 25 sheets of art inside the book are from her paintings.
