About the Book
In rural Trinidad a teenager with second sight sees creatures invisible to his siblings. Misunderstood and feared, Devon Alexander, goes through several misfortunes in life. After being separated from his siblings at age ten, his life makes a sudden change with the return of his childhood friend Malik who eventually leads him to living a well-financed and comfortable life. In returns Allister, his elder but troubled brother, who supports Devon to the reality that his long lost father may be alive. Through the sudden introduction of a beautiful, white faced entity, Devon learns that he is no different from the creatures he feared – one of a long line of entities that walk the earth, tracked and monitored by forbidden minions’ intent on tainting his kind… willing to do anything to get their way.
About the Author
Dexter Mc Millan was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad in 1970. Dexter is presently pursuing his B.Sc. at COSTAAT before moving on to his MA. He began writing poems and stories in the early nineteen ninety’s, however, it was not until recently, that he felt ready to publish what he considers “his inner feelings”. He has many years of experience in the world of Corrections, and is proud of his membership in the “Circle of Poets (Trinidad)”. His mentors were writers like Anson Gonsalves, Paul Keens Douglas, Pearl Eintou Springer and other Trinidadian writers who impressed him during his early development. He believes that it was primarily because of them, he should publish his books “Missing Ties” and “Shallow, Voices of a small man (reborn).
