About the Book
This informative writing originated during my chartering days, due to a large percentage of clients asking how to preserve and prepare their catch. I then obtained some information from the Michigan State University extension service on preserving the fish. After compiling that material, I consulted other charter captains and friends, for a variety of home recipes (mine included). With all of these put together, I now had something for my clients. In March 2012, I decided to publish this information in book form for the general public to enjoy.
About the Author
Born in Bronx N.Y.C., New York, in 1947. I attended school at Frankfort High School in upstate New York, entered military (air force) in 1965, and honorably discharged in 1973. I moved to Michigan at that time and hired in at Ford Motor, Co. In the late 70's, I was laid off due to the lack of auto sales, which prompted me to obtain my US Coastguard license, hence starting my Great Lakes charter fishing service. After 1 year I was called back to Ford Motor, and worked until my retirement in 2003. I still operated my charter service part time until the mid 90's when I dissolved the business due to medical reasons.
