About the Author

Mary Anderson, a technical writer for a software company, is an enthusiastic amateur bird watcher. She lives in Zionsville, Indiana, with her husband, two boys, and a dog. Despite the diminutive size of their yard, Mary found that small trees, along with water, feeders, and housing, attract an amazing variety of backyard birds. She hopes that these fun, read-aloud stories encourage kids and adults alike to enjoy the songs and antics of the birds in their own backyards!
